Well the digging is nearly at an end we are getting ready to think about planting. Looking at the other allotments with their canes up looking neat and tidy makes you think how good it will be soon. The next thing is the shed and greenhouse and sit in the sunshine when the summer eventually comes, what a perfect life, don't you think?

Hello everyone

Im so excited I have my first allotment and can't wait to get started. I would appreciate any advice and tips. I have a 5 rod (whatever that is) which I shall be viewing next Tuesday.

The things I am thinking of planting are potatoes, onions, carrots, few herbs, strawberries.

So come on fellow allotmenteers advise away.
