well after taking on what seemed like wasteland we finally have what looks like an allotment! garlic, onion, spuds, cabbage, asparagus, horseraddish , carrots and peas all growing. feel very proud!

Very cold and tired today but we're slowly getting there! Making new friends too so enjoying the social element as much as the digging. Its really nice spending time with my hubby too doing something we're both finding rewarding, and mum came today too which was really nice but not sure she'll be thanking me in the morning!

Its not a fully up to date image but we're slowly getting there. Started digging over some of the old beds to make a start in the ground and the compost crates seem to be doing the job, just need.to get some covers sorted for it. Miles better than when we took it over anyway!!!

Well tomorrow is our first official day on our new allotment! We have no garden so it is the perfect place for us to relax and get some growing done. We saw the allotmentlast week on my birthday andi must say that overgrown is an understatement! Looks like it hasn't been used for at least a couple of years as thorn bushes have established ha ha.
