Hi Everyone.

I'm very new to this forum and this is my first blog. Dont know if there are others from Aberdeen ?

Got an Allotment in March this year. Old very over grown and horrible corrugated fencing falling down, but hey I like a challenge. Replaced 1 fence completely with Rabbit proof fencing-only 2 more to go.

Sprayed roundup over the really bad bits and tillered a few bits - even managed a shed with the help of (I hate gardening husband). Got in some fruit trees and goosies and blueberries and blackurrants .Gettinga a bit late in the year now and I've not been able to get anything much grown at all but should be in good shape for next season (the allotment this is - not me)

Going to try some winter brassicas - plug plants cos I havent had time to raise from seed. So we will see how it goes. My ambition for nect year is to grown a giant pumpkin, I'm a fairly good gardener so fingers crossed. I think wind might be an iddue in this location so any advice on inexpensive wind screning ?
