Some fantastic offers at East Fortune market yesterday on the plant and herb front. Lots of bargains at a fraction of the cost of the shops if you're looking for some instant impact.

Had a lovely time at lotty yesterday. Particularly enjoyed Big Bear's company and the visit from Tubby. Marvin making a beeline to help Claudia eat her tea when sausages were mentioned was funny.

Managed to squeeze in a couple of hours gardening this afternoon. A few other people were at the allotments - taking advantage of the nice weather. Lots happening in the greenhouse, managed to sow some radish and beetroot outside and did a general tidy up and hoe. Keen to get stuck into the area at the back but there were too many bees enjoying it this afternoon.

The weather in Edinburgh has been awful for the past few days, just when we were hoping to get up to the lotty and get some work done.

Managed to find some bargain seed potatoes in a garden centre in Falkirk - lots of unusual varieties. Purchased some interesting looking blue and burgandy potatoes so we'll see how those turn out.
