arghhhhhh
ordered a new seal for my iron hand pump, it took two guys about an hour to get on, then I couldn`t get it to fit into the body of the pump because the seal is too thick . I`m sooooo madddd
my big boy
this is my big boy watering his veg patch at the bottom of my allotment. Its all growing but its mum that has to do the watering lol
welsh rhubarb cake
with my first picking of rhubarb I made a welsh rhubarb cake recipe out of May issue of kitchen garden.
85g caster suger
85g butter
85g self raising flour
2 eggs
445g rhubarb
1 tblsp demera suger
topping
60g butter
30g caster sugar
85g plain flour.
bake for 40-50 minutes at 190C
really nice served with ice cream or custard

what a good day the kids actually came down the allotment and played happily for hours while I did some work.
First sighting of spuds but did cover them up again

has anyone planted their brassicas yet ?

April holiday
I have managed over the Easter holiday to dig most of my plot, the spuds are in, pea and carrots have been sown. Keeping the black cover on until my other crops are ready to go in , have a plot inspection on the 16th May 2010 two weeks earlier than normal.
