Can anybody help identify a moth or butterfly. I was weeding my strawberries yesterday and there where two of them, when there wings was closed they where brown with a sort of round "fury" head but, when they opened there wings they where amazing, bright fuchsia pink. I've looked in a wildlife book and can't seem to see anything like them, can anybody help?

I wondered if any of you kind hearted allotmenteers have any Lily of the Valley?
My elderly mother would like some for her garden but the bulbs are really expensive. Just a small cutting would surface. Thank You

lottery funding

I am thinking of trying to get a lottery grant for our allotment site, has anybody been successful in one been granted? or do you know of any other grants available for allotments? A lot of our allotments are overgrown with bramble or have not been worked for years, people either take one look and say ahhh no thanks, or take them on and then realise that it's to much like hard work.
