ordered a new seal for my iron hand pump, it took two guys about an hour to get on, then I couldn`t get it to fit into the body of the pump because the seal is too thick . I`m sooooo madddd

stan cotter Posted at 19:43 on Tue, 06/29/2010hi tanya, i sympathise with your oversize problem. many years ago as a young cyclist i would occasionally have put a new washer ? (seal) inside the tyre pump as they do wear. almost every time the new one would not fit and had to be coaxed into place using patience and a lot of explitives that cannot be repeated here.
only other useless suggestion is that it is the wrong seal
