Blackberries
I've been trying all year to get the kids interested in growing fruit and veg and now it turns out the thing they really love is the blackberries which grow wild on the edge of our allotment and they haven't had anything to do with growing

pat Posted at 07:41 on Sun, 08/30/2009My allotment is quite windswept and open. I've planted a couple of blackberry bushes to form a wind break - people think I'm nuts as they're so plentiful in the wild but it seemed logicalt to me. I hope it works - they'lll be a pain to remove if it doesn't !
