In the beginning...

Hello

Just got my offer for an allotment after waiting what seems like a lifetime on a waiting list. Been up to the plot and thought OMG!!! What have I let myself in for.
Luckily the kind allotment officer from the council has agreed to have it strimmed off and made something like workable! I hope to start a photo/video diary of my adventures in this wilderness. will post the first takes shortly. All contributions of advise on site clearing, preparing etc. Greatly appreciated.

congratulations on your new plot and I can't wait to read all about your progress in your diary.

The best advice on clearing the site is little by little. Do enough to get some spuds in as they help break up the soil
