Hi there,
I am a new resident of Micklefield and I'm am really interested in community activities in general. A new allotment in Micklefield sounds brilliant and I would really enjoy having more of an active place in the community. Just wondering when this group was created and what the current situation is in negotiations? Is there anything I could get involved with at what ever stage?

I got an allotment immediately in Derby (Bramfield Allotment Holders Association) just by ringing round the different Associations. But if you need one where you live petition the Parish or City Council. I would be interested in starting a community garden/or food growing project anywhere in Derby. Although they don't have the same legal rights as allotments

Hi Izzy,

Have you had any joy with this venture?
we approached the private allotment intermediate in the village, and he told us it would be a good year on a waiting list until we could be considered!

We have a small area now in our private garden where we grow vegetables :)
