Hi every one, i am a newcomer to this site and to writing blogs. This is my third year on my allotment first year was a wash out lost every thing to the floods. last year was great, potatoes sweetcorn, beetroot,leeks, carrots all did well had a bumper crop with the runner beans ,brussel sprouts and cauliflowers. our cabbages got attacked with catterpillers but stiil had a few cabbages left i will post some photos later, goodbye for now hubby (tony)and my self are of to allotment maggie

went to allotment yesterday,the weather was lovely got three raised beds ready for planting, pulled rest of my leeks up and with the help of hubby got the bed ready for our cabbages, brussels went home and made a big pan of leek and potatoe soup um um, got the seed potatoes put into egg boxes ready for chitting,to day i am planting my tomatoe seeds and brussel sprouts seeds into pots i have not got a green house so they will have to go on a windowsill. i will be back soon

I'm also quite a newcomer to this site, and to blogging. I think it's really nice to communicate with people who you know you have a least one thing in common with! My intention is to post something at least once a month - so far, so good!
