Ive had my alloment just over 1 year now, when i rented it privetly i was told by other garden owners it had been a dumping ground for a builder, which i have now found out that it was by the debris i have dug out.a few of the ppl on our allottments said you,ll be lucky if u can do anything with that, but with determination and hard work im getting there, ive removed all the overgrowth dug it over roughly and removed tons of bricks wood glass drain pipes metal slates wire and so on ive cleared 3 parts now though.Ive planted broad beans peas beetroot cabbage cauliflower brussles lettuce spring onion onions celery potatoes all of them growing nicely. Ive also built my greenhouse and growing tomatoes and cucumbers and pepers in there i dont think ive done too bad cosidering im working fulltime also, and im 57 years old.Still a lot to do though ive been clearing more today i,ll get there in the end i hope.
