Parsnips - planting

Parsnips are in season all winter and improve in flavour as the weather gets colder and frost gets to the roots. Beware though. Parsnips have a very long growing season - They are usually planted in late Winter or early Spring and are not harvested until the following Winter - taking up valuable bed space throughout that time
