I am lucky enough to have 2x 22m polytunnels on my allotment site which are shared. Does anyone know if it is better to grow stuff in the ground or get a load of staging.
Any other polytunnel advice/tips would be great!

tunnels

hi andy
as with years of growing in tunnels
try both in ground on stageing
tunnels are a lot of work needs a lot of time

good luck

shared polytunnels

As you are lucky enough to have a shared polytunnel you could, perhaps, get together with other plot holders and build some staging.
This gives you the ultimate raised bed. You choose the growing soil and you don't have to do a lot of bending.

In answer to what Brian says you don' t have to do a lot of netting either, but unless you have got side vents you will have to provide copious (lots) amounts of water at least twice a day in summer
