radish blight

i have grown some very large red radish i picked a few last week and they were fine but i have just cut some i picked yesterday and they have black markings on the inside like some kind of grub/worm any one any ideas on what it is---thanks

all the books that I have

all the books that I have say about flea beetles and holes in the leaves, but as radishes are like turnips could it be cabbage root fly?
