Rain!!!!!!!!!!

We have so needed some rain everything is so dry, finally we have had some not sure it will be enough.
All the summer veg is coming to an end and we are starting to top up with manure and seaweed, ready for next years crops. My brassica's have been enjoyed by the local butterfly/caterpillar population so not sure what will be left for actual eating.
My leeks are looking fab! Still got carrots and beetroot coming up, the parsnips are quite well established and the swede hmmm not sure about the swede, the last lot I pulled and cooked was quite bitter so not sure what I have done wrong with them !!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to plant some onions soon for the spring, and have been collecting seeds from the runners,pea beans and butter beans. I have still got to get my garlic bulbs to plant in November. Not sure what else I can get going in the winter other than some lettuce in the greenhouse.
Lots of tidying up to do and more manuring, but If any one else can think of anything I would be grateful.
