Raspberry canes

Hi
Can anyone tell me if I can still plant blackberries or rasperries or do I need to wait til Autumn? I've seen plants for sale in a local garden centre but can't find any advice on when to plant other than later in the year...

hi ange,its a bit to late now. best time for blackberry is mid oct to mid nov, ( rasp,s oct to march . try to get done by mid nov if not leave till march a really good rasp is joan j ( thompson & morgan ) summer fruiting. happy gardening bob
