4bFieldHouse Posted at 07:35 on Fri, 08/19/2011I always gorw solent wight as the farm is only 20 minutes away. I always get a little rust on the leaves but it doesn't seem to affect the bulbs. You shuld try the elephany wight, the bulbs grow to a gigantic size so if you ike garlic they are perfect as they are less fiddly to peel

Garlic
lottyman Posted at 16:34 on Fri, 08/19/2011Don't you think elephant garlic is a lot milder than ordinary garlic. It is I think more of a leek than a garlic. If you go to the garlic farm Hayley, will you please enquire because I think there is one even bigger called Jumbo garlic but still with the very mild taste
Spray your garlic with horticultural soft soap before you get the rust and the spores when they settle just slide off
Happy gardening
