Today I had the best news

A normal Sunday, early evening, thinking about cooking and the phone rings. It is a lottery moment, after years of waiting my numbers have come up and a lovely lady is offering me an allotment. And not just any allotment, but one just yards from my front door. I can see it immediately and within the hour the deed is done and I have productive land. Well I will have, in time, when the dounting task of weed and bramble clearing is complete. It is a lovely large plot but over grown, even the self seeded sycamores are as tall as me and there has been some fly tipping. and there can be no fires for months...but it will be glorious. The aim is self sufficency in veg and also flowers for the house. It will take a while
