Allotment details

This is not the best time of year to start off growing things because you don't plant much now.

But it is a good time to start having an allotment because you can dig it, prepare the beds, dig in manure etc and get it ready for next season.

Maybe even cover some overgrown areas with black plastic or carpet to kill the grass and weeds and prepare it for digging in the spring.

You don't give any details about what's on your allotment at the moment. If you haven't got any raspberries, they would be a good project for this time of year.

Post any questions you've got on the forum and I'm sure you'll get the answers yuou need.

Hope that helps,

nothing's easy lol

all I can say is nothing is easy to grow, no I'm only joking, but at this time of year you might be better getting your allotment ready for spring, that way you won't be dissappointed with your first crops and you will have the time to prepare properly and not just rush in which is a mistake a lot of us new to gardening make.
You and your allotment are going to forge a wonderful relationship and as with all relationships they require time and effort, Time spent now will save you loads of time and heartache in the future.
Just enjoy it
